Hi Talin,
I understand how difficult it is not only to be depressed, but also to realize that it's something we basically go through alone. People who aren't, or have never been, depressed cannot understand the depths of despair that depression can bring with it.

It is my opion that part of the journey of depression is learning to let of the strings that tie us to other people. It's an experience during which we make ourselves a priority. Instead of looking outside of ourselves for someone else to fill the voids within, we discover how to fill those voids ourselves.

I don't know the answer of how you can stop being so "clingy" but I imagine that when you listen within, you will hear the answers. What is it that you would need to do for yourself during this difficult time?

Do know that even though it is difficult with your cousin, there are many resources available to you. You are never alone.

I am depressed and when I reach out for help from my cousin, she pretends that it is not a big deal. Then I find out she is going out every weekend and has never extended any help for me in these difficult times. I want to stop being so "clingy" how do I do that? It is obvious to me that I am not her priority.
