Inspiration for a New Year

Blue MoonWhen the clock strikes twelve on December 31st, people all over the world will celebrate and wish each other a Very Happy New Year. For some, the event is no more than the change of the calendar year. For others, News Year’s Eve is a time to reflect on the transformation, release, disappointments, and awakenings of the previous year, and an opportunity to envision a better tomorrow.

This year New Year’s Eve is accompanied by a blue moon. A blue moon has nothing to do with the color of the moon but when two full moons occur within the same month, the second full moon is called the blue moon. This is something that doesn’t happen very often—hence the term “once in a blue moon.”

Celebrations and parties are a wonderful thing, but this Full Blue Moon wants us to take a look at our life and create something wondrous. This year, why not take a few minutes to go outside and look up at the beautiful Moon and listen to what messages your soul is whispering to you for the future.

As you enter the New Year of 2010, what conscious choices will you make and for what purpose?

Happy New Year everyone!

“May you listen to your longing to be free.
May the frames of your belonging be large enough for the dreams of your soul.
May you arise each day with a voice of blessing whispering in your heart
…something good is going to happen to you.
May you find harmony between your soul and your life.
May the mansion of your soul never become a haunted place.
May you know the eternal longing that lies at the heart of time.
May there be kindness in your gaze when you look within.
May you never place walls between the light and yourself.
May you be set free from the prisons of guilt, fear, disappointment and despair.
May you allow the wild beauty of the invisible world to gather you,
mind you, and embrace you in belonging. “

Happy New Year to all who read this and may 2010 be the year in which all your dreams come true!

The Full Moon here in Quebec on New Year’s Eve was breathtaking…..the sky was clear and the snow was crisp. However, New Year’s night it was overcast, so couldn’t see the moon.

We all say things like “once in a Blue Moon”, so hopefully all things we want to happen will happen for sure this month…..a new year, a new decade! The past 10 years have been good, the next 10 years will be GREAT! Change your attitude, change the outcome!

Sending out love and hugs to all.
Kathleen

“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called “Opportunity” and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.”

Great quote Dr. Annette, I wish you and Kathleen and whoever else posts here the happiest, safest, and most fulfilling of New Years!

P.S. that blue moon graphic you posted is beautiful! It makes me want to sit and copy it to practice drawing! (adding my own touches of course) :)
