The Beauty of Trees

I never saw a discontented tree. They grip the ground as though they liked it, and though fast rooted they travel about as far as we do. They go wandering forth in all directions with every wind, going and coming like ourselves, traveling with us around the sun two million miles a day, and through space heaven knows how fast and far!

Hi Annette,
I’m simply loving it here in NS……not only did I follow my heart, but I followed my roots. My days are full of joy! Watching my garden growing makes me very proud…..fresh radishes yesterday and tomorrow I’ll be into the Romaine lettuce. I may become a Farmer yet! haha

Took some photos today of my beautiful flowers…..my yellow roses bring me much excitememt. Hot and humid here today. Simply a gorgeous place to live…..away from the hustle and bustle of city traffic.

We have several trees on our property which provide much needed shade….thank you God! Even, Tia, our dog, loves being outside and free to chase her stick. AAAAAAAAAAAAA Nature……nothing better on Earth.

How are you doing with the new addition to your household? I’m following your pictures on FB.

Kathleen, it sounds as if you followed your heart and made Earth your Heaven!

My mom and dad have grown a garden in upper New York state for over the past 50 years. I remember the fresh radishes, romaine lettuce, beans, tomatoes, herbs, raspberries, strawberries, rhutbarb, carrots, cucumbers, and so many other vegetables. There’s absolutely nothing like picking something you grew and making it into a meal!

Here in Dallas, I have my own little oasis, but not yet a garden. It’s a big time commitment that I’m not yet ready for. But soon, maybe next year or the following year. Meanwhile, I’ll live vicariously through your photos and the memories of fresh produce.

I can just see Tia having room to play and be free!! There is truly nothing like being outdoors in nature. In fact, that is probably one of the most exciting things about my new puppy Seraphim… getting outdoors at all hours of the day. I’ll be sure to post some new puppy photos soon!

Love,
Annette
